Welcome AME Church!

We're Glad You're Here!

The Foundation for Evangelism is a grant-making foundation established in 1949 to “diffuse the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Today, we live into that vision by promoting, encouraging and providing resources for evangelism in the Wesleyan tradition.

What do we mean by “Evangelism?”

Evangelism is talking, teaching and preaching the story of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Evangelism alone doesn’t lead to a transformed life.

Discipleship is the important “next step” in evangelism. It is our responsibility as followers of Jesus to nurture and grow together in our faith journey.

The Church is where discipleship happens

The Church is the community where believers are formed and equipped for evangelism. Not all churches look the same, either! Some have a physical location, some are strictly online, and still others feel called to go where the people are.
