Sowing Seeds for the Kingdom
By Bonnie Hollabaugh, Vice President for Development
Last week, I attended the retirement celebration of a beloved mentor—someone who has faithfully poured into others for decades. As I listened to countless stories of lives touched and hearts changed, I realized she plants seeds for the Kingdom everywhere she goes.
Sitting there, I began to think about all the people who have shaped my faith journey — those who spoke truth, showed love, and shared Jesus with me. I am a Christian today because others were faithful in sharing the life-transforming good news of Jesus Christ.
That realization stirred something in me: Am I living in such a way that others might come to know Jesus? Am I planting seeds of faith in the lives I encounter every day?
God calls every believer to both speak and embody the good news of Jesus. We may never know how far a single seed of faith will grow, but our calling is to sow generously and trust God for the harvest.
Reflection Question:
How are you planting seeds of faith and helping others grow in their walk with Christ?
