Pass it On
By Jack Jackson, President
In John 17:25–26 Jesus says something profound:
“I have made you known to them.”
The Christian faith is not inherited; it is revealed, shared, and embraced. Someone, somewhere, helped us see who God is. And while becoming a Christian has always consisted of more than a simple intellectual commitment, it has never been less.
People in every generation receive the gospel because someone in a previous generation chose to plant seeds of faith.
A grandmother passing on the faith to her grandchildren over regular Sunday lunches
A children’s Sunday school teacher showing up each week to engagingly tell the stories of God
A fellow employee speaking naturally about faith in Christ over time
A preacher faithfully teaching through the decades
Each act becomes part of a chain of witness stretching across time.
The Foundation for Evangelism works within that long tradition of transmission. By strengthening the systems that form pastors, equip congregations, and encourage laity, it helps ensure that the knowledge of God continues to be passed forward.
We may never see the full harvest. Yet every seed planted in faith becomes part of the story through which others come to know the love of God.
Prayer – God of every generation, help us faithfully pass on the assurance of your love so that many more may come to know you.
