Four Weeks of Advent Series
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6)in him…” (Romans 15:13)
One day, a man who had just been released from jail found himself living in the motel next to Aiken Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene in Aiken, S.C. He had struggled for decades with addiction and now was without connections or support to turn his life around. He began coming to the shower trailer ministry at the church which led to conversations with Pastor Jeremy Reese. The church stepped in to help. Months later, this man was baptized and his relationship with Jesus has transformed his life. He and his wife are active in the church and are grateful for a fresh start.
At Aiken Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene, an Equipping the Local Church grant for a shower trailer has overflowed into a ministry not only helping people clean their bodies – it’s helping them begin a new life of peace in Jesus.
