Fox

ENDOWMENT

The Dr. H. Eddie and Mary Nell Endowment for Evangelism

“[Eddie Fox] inspired many in the Wesleyan family around the world with deep dedication to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Dr. Jan Love
Former Dean of the Chapel at Candler School of Theology, Emory University

So That the World May Know Jesus

When Eddie Fox summarized his ministry and call, he spoke with clarity: It’s about Christ. Eddie’s ministry was wholistic, for all people, around the world.

As a long-time ally, The Foundation for Evangelism knows that Eddie always asked what the local church and community needed so that they might invite others to follow Christ. Continuing in that model, we are excited to announce a new global grant program funded by the Dr. H. Eddie and Mary Nell Fox Endowment for Evangelism, “So That the World May Know Jesus.”

These grants equip evangelistic, global Wesleyan-tradition leaders for the ever-changing landscape of Christian leadership and invitation, opening the way for Christ to transform hearts and minds.

Using the Fox legacy as a template to engage globally, the Foundation will seek out places where the Holy Spirit is at work. Then, through building partnerships with indigenous evangelists and organizations, the grants will be implemented to provide the resources needed on the ground to advance the faith movement.

The 2024 So That The World May Know Jesus grant recipient was announced at the World Methodist conference in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Equipping the Methodist Church in Estonia

The Estonian Methodist Church, in one of the most unreligious countries in the world, prioritized ministry with children and young people when developing their grant proposal. This grant impacts both Estonian-speaking and Russian-speaking churches with new youth ministry locations, youth leader training, and small groups where unchurched young people are more likely to engage.

Evangelism Training for Tanzanians by Tanzanians

The second grant to be awarded from the Dr. H. Eddie and Mary Nell Fox Endowment for Evangelism will help with developing contextually relevant curriculum for ministry students at Wesley College in Mwanza, Tanzania.
