(and how we define "Evangelism")

Everyone Deserves GOOD News

Evangelism is more relational than confrontational or transactional, more communal than solitary, and is more a beginning point than an end. Evangelism involves not only sharing our faith with others, but also welcoming them into a community and enabling them to begin to grow in their faith. Above all, evangelism is about love: God’s love for us in Jesus, our love for our neighbor, and the invitation to receive and grow in a new life that is characterized by love (Knight, Henry H. III and F. Douglas Powe. Transforming Evangelism: The Wesleyan Way of Sharing Faith. Discipleship Resources, 2006).

How We Live Out Our Calling

At The Foundation for Evangelism, we provide a financial channel through grant-making to help you answer God’s call to the Great Commission – to go and make disciples. We look for places where the Holy Spirit is “bubbling up” and moving in exciting ways. Then, through mutual exploration, we determine how best to support those ministries and movements that invite people into life-transformation relationship with God through Jesus Christ. By bringing together teams of highly focused leaders, including staff and trustees, we can then develop the platform for collaboration between your ministry and our mission.

The Grants we facilitate are designed to:

  • Raise Up Gospel Leaders,  that is, vocational Christian leaders called to be in ministry to the world
  • Engage the Ministry of the Laity to find their voice, share their faith, and invite others to the Christian journey
  • Equip the Local Church through teams of pastors and laity working together to spark a movement inviting all people to a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Join us in a conversation to explore shared passions, mission fit, and the opportunity to multiply your charitable investment by joining like-minded people to be the CATALYST to equip disciples to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
