I wanted to take this moment to thank each of you for your support during a difficult and challenging year. Whether through your prayers, telling others about the Foundation, or sharing your gifts, you have helped us to be a Catalyst organization that continues to equip disciples to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We have been that Catalyst in a multitude of ways this year. Thanks to your help we were able to:
- Partner with Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary to provide an Online Training Course that included 4 churches and over 150 individuals. The participants came together, pastors and lay people, to learn about creating systems of evangelism and discipleship that nurture faith.
- Provide a Denman Doctoral Fellowship to a Church of the Nazarene pastor in Eswatini, in Southern Africa. This pastor has a dream to teach disciples, who will then teach other disciples, who will in turn teach still more disciples…. And share God’s good news with the world.
- Sponsored a workshop at Leadership Institute at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, led by Rev. Dr. Alma Ruiz from Duke Divinity School (also a Denman Fellow), that spoke to evangelism in the midst of trauma and hurt – a relevant topic for 2020!
And we are already planning for next year. I hope you will celebrate and give thanks with us for all that God has done through the work and grants of The Foundation for Evangelism. WE certainly give thanks for YOU, our partners in ministry, and hope that you will share with us what you are thankful for!
Gratefully,
Jane Wood
