The idea for this College Union online community grew out of the national summit on campus ministry held December '05 at Duke University Divinity School. CollegeUnion.org is a web-based journal and forum for sharing ideas, resources and best practices about campus ministry. CollegeUnion.org is a resource for those in campus ministry by those in campus ministry.

December 2005, the Foundation for Evangelism, in partnership with the General Board of Discipleship, Duke Divinity School, and the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry, realizing the need to figure out how to reach young adults in the United Methodist Church, offered a chance for campus ministers and United Methodist leaders to come together to encourage each other, to share ideas, and to bring the younger generations back into our local congregations. This was the calling of the Campus Ministries Summit. From this Summit, in addition to the College Union online community, was born the Refresh Conference for annual renewal of these evangelistic leaders.
