The Foundation for Evangelism  funds the Harry Denman Fellowships which are given to scholars in the United Methodist tradition who are pursuing doctoral studies in evangelism or related disciplines. The fellowships are to encourage and equip people who might one day teach evangelism in United Methodist schools of theology or institutions of higher education.

Candidates are chosen for their commitment to Christ and the church as well as for their academic excellence. A Foundation for Theological Education (AFTE) administers these fellowships through their John Wesley Fellowship Program.

Candidates interested in the Denman Fellowship Program can download the application on the AFTE website. Please include a separate one-page description of how your doctoral study is connected to the study and practice of evangelism.  The 2017 application deadline  is January 20, 2017.
