Grant Process
Grant applications for consideration by the Foundation for Evangelism Board of Trustees must be received by the Foundation on or before September 1.
Application Procedures and Supporting Materials
The application process consists of a Letter of Understanding, Grant Application Covenant, and, if required, a Grant Application.
1) Letter of Understanding (LOU): Each applicant is asked to answer the questions outlined in the Letter of Understanding (LOU). To review this document click here or call the contact listed below.
2) Grant Application Covenant: The Grant Application Covenant must be completed by all eligible organizations in order to establish contact with The Foundation for Evangelism. This covenant documents the understanding from the eligible applicant of the purpose and process for a grant from the Foundation. It also will be used to document eligibility for the organization as a not-for-profit entity with an affiliation to The United Methodist Church.
3) Grant Application: A Grant Application may be required for grants exceeding $10,000 or for a term of more than one (1) year.
After review of the LOU, the Foundation will notify each eligible organization of its status in the grant process. The application form will be sent to each eligible applicant by the Foundation staff and a staff contact will be assigned to each institution to assist with the grant process.
