REFRESH Conference 2007 (Campus Ministry Grant)

Policy Statement

The Foundation for Evangelism welcomes written grant proposals from eligible organizations.  Applicants are encouraged to approach the Foundation with a very specific proposal for a defined evangelism purpose.  All grants are subject to annual review.

Position Statement
The Foundation for Evangelism, an affiliate of the General Board of Discipleship of The United Methodist Church, has made a long-term investment in the future of the Church.  The Foundation utilizes partnerships and affiliations with boards, seminaries, colleges and universities and emerging populations to provide resources for the development of leaders with a passion for evangelism in the spirit of Wesley.  The Foundation believes that it is through strong and empowered leadership that The United Methodist Church will continue to complete its calling to bring people to experience the transforming love of God through Jesus Christ.

Eligibility
The Foundation for Evangelism makes grants to partner organizations that are exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  No grants are made to individuals for any purpose.   The Foundation, by the terms of its organizational papers, is restricted to making grants that support the work of evangelism in The United Methodist Church.

Deadlines for Application
Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit Letters of Understanding (LOU) at any time prior to established deadlines.  Applicable deadlines are posted on this website.  Any LOU or proposal received after the deadline will be considered during the next grant period, if applicable.  The Foundation Board of Trustees makes final funding decisions each year during regularly scheduled meetings in the fall.
