The Congress on Evangelism Grants
Harry Denman Lectures
The Harry Denman Lecture series provides theologically sound, thought-provoking content presented by a recognized Wesleyan theologian. The Foundation for Evangelism recruits the lecturers and coordinates the series. Previous speakers include Albert Outler, Maxie Dunnam, Bishop Earl Hunt, James Logan, Bishop Scott Jones and William Abraham.
Young Pastor Scholarships
The Foundation for Evangelism developed the Young Pastors Scholarship Program to encourage clergy who are under the age of 40 and first-time attendees to the Congress on Evangelism to network with like-minded clergy persons and leaders in Wesleyan evangelism while gaining practical tools for ministry. These pastors, nominated by District Superintendents, are exceptional young leaders with a passion for evangelism.
Hispanic/Latino Leaders Scholarships
The Hispanic/Latino Leaders Scholarship Program brings together the leaders of successful Hispanic/Latino(a) faith community leaders from across the United States for networking and development of skills specific to evangelism in their ministry settings. Workshop coordinators are from across the denomination and all activities in this learning track are bilingual. Bishops make the nominations for these scholarships.
Campus Ministry Grants
College Union
United Methodist campus ministers and chaplains have the opportunity to participate in a web community where ideas are shared, resources are available, and best practices of campus ministry are provided. The web site is supported by the Foundation with the content provided by an editorial team made up of campus ministers and chaplains.
REFRESH Conference
United Methodist-related campus ministers and chaplains gather each year in early December for the purpose of being inspired, trained, and refreshed. The Foundation provides substantial financial support for this event.
