“I have been blessed to serve The United Methodist Church in many leadership roles, but perhaps the greatest impact is my role as donor. This Foundation is uniquely positioned to help the Church develop principled Christian leaders for the Church and the world. My gift is making a difference in preparing leaders to Offer Them Christ.”
Royce and Jane believe that it is imperative for all Christians to accept the commission of Christ to “make disciples of all nations.” Throughout their lives together, the church has been the central focus. Their strong desire is to support United Methodist ministries and missions programs that promote evangelism among current and future leaders of The United Methodist Church.
They continually demonstrate their passion to help persons experience God’s transforming love through Jesus Christ by giving tirelessly of their time, talent and treasure to support the work of The Foundation for Evangelism.
Royce is fond of saying that all good things that ever happened to him happened in church, including the Sunday night at a Methodist Youth Fellowship meeting in the early 1950’s when he met his future wife, Jane. Now Royce and Jane use their blessings to bless others by supporting programs that have a multiplying impact on The United Methodist Church. Their giving to the Foundation includes the Annual Fund, specific programs, and endowment of an E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Duke Divinity School. Royce and Jane have made a difference in countless lives through their giving.
