You don’t want to miss this revitalizing campus ministry conference at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. New this year is the Campus Ministry Boot Camp which will be held Dec. 12-14. This “basic training” event is specifically designed for everyone who wants to take his or her ministry to the next level. The training will appeal to those new in campus ministry as well as to veterans seeking to re-tool for a new season of ministry. The Bootcamp will cover everything needed to create a thriving ministry on campus. The 48 hour workshop will be led by Jim Griffith, founder of Griffith Coaching Network. Jim came to faith and heard a call to ministry while in college and his story can be found at CollegeUnion.org/refresh.
The Refresh Event will kick off with Pre-Conference Seminars, held Dec. 14. Seminar options include Servant Evangelism led by Steve Sjogren and Marriage Refresh led by Stewart Grant and Jackson Dunn. The event will run until Dec. 16 with plenty of worship, training, and fellowship.
This year, worship will be led by Laura Story, the nationally known author of the song Indescribable. Conference speakers include Rev. Olu Brown (Impact Church), Alan Hirsh (Forge Mission Training Network), Rev. Adam Hamilton (Church of the Resurrection), and Pete Greig (24-7 Prayer). Rev. Yolanda Villa of the Missouri Annual Conference will serve as Conference Care Pastor.
A variety of workshops will be offered, including those led by Sarah Wilke of Upper Room Ministries, Bridgette Young from GBHEM, and many more. Check out all that Refresh has to offer at CollegeUnion.org/refresh today!
