Dr. William L. Apetz Passes Away

The Foundation for Evangelism celebrates the life and ministry of Dr. William L. Apetz, who passed away on July 16, 2010 at the age of 90.

Dr. Apetz received degrees from Glassboro State College, Rutgers University and Temple University. He dedicated his life to education serving as principal and superintendent. He was the inaugural president of both Gloucester County and Sussex County Community Colleges. Dr. Apetz also taught for Trenton State College and Rutgers Graduate School.

As part of The Foundation for Evangelism family, Dr. Apetz  served as a Trustee from 1996 until 2006. He served in board leadership roles as Chair of the Long Range Planning Committe and later as Chair of Human Resources.

Lane Rees, Board Chairman for The Foundation for Evangelism says of Dr. Apetz “He added many insights on long term planning and personnel matters during his tenure.  He and his wife, Mary gave so much during their years with the Foundation.  We were very fortunate to have had him as a trustee”.

A service of celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home, Reverend Dr. Robert Sturge officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
